Mayan Grandmother Visiting - katrinac - 11-05-2022 Hello neighbors! For anyone that is interested in indigenous cultures and traditions I wanted to let you know that my long time teacher and friend Nana Wilma will be visiting Jamestown next week from Guatemala.  Nana is a Mayan spiritual guide, elder, initiated fire tender, and a wisdom keeper in her tradition.  For those that are not familiar with the Mayan people, they have a fascinating and rich culture that has been preserved through the tribal people despite facing an oppressive government who attempted to wipe out their practices.  Nana was trained at a young age to honor her heritage, original language, and ceremonies.  It is a gift to support her now in bringing these teachings to the people in the US.  I have been hosting her in Vermont for many years, and I am absolutely thrilled to bring her here to Colorado.  And she is too! Nana will be holding personal divinations at our home throughout her visit.  This is an opportunity to spend one-on-one time with her.  She uses a Mayan oracle that involves patterns and numbers along with the Mayan Tree of Life, which is based on your birthday in the Mayan Calendar (an intricate system of time and cosmology).  These divinations can help gain answers and guidance for personal issues, difficult situations, important choices, or to gain more understanding of your spiritual path. These sessions last one hour. We do exchange money and gifts for divinations as a way to send Nana home with resources to care for herself, her family and her community. We request a sliding scale of $100-$200, which goes directly to Nana. There is room for other types of exchanges, so please reach out to talk more. We have some availability on Wednesday the 9th, Thursday the 10th, and Friday the 11th.
