MOUNTAIN FOOD RESCUE - Lynnie - 02-06-2023
FOOD PANTRY TONIGHT!
MONDAY FEBRUARY 6TH - 5:30 -6:30 PM
At the Food Barn next to the Tennis Courts in the East parking lot of the Big Park.
All are Welcome. Please bring your own bags or boxes.
We did not have a pickup from Community Food Share this week due an in service day they were having for their staff, but
we still ended up with a large pickup of food and non food items from Whole Foods and Ideal Market.
We have lots of produce, peppers, lemons, oranges, cabbage, potatoes, apples etc. Lots and lots of prepared fruits, strawberries and blue berries, cantaloupe, honey dew,
pineapple. Some in individual containers and some large family size containers. Some prepared foods including some yummy looking burritos. Some prepared salads, milk,
and believe it or not, even some eggs! We still have a lot of plant based roasts, and some burger. We also received lots of handmade soaps, some coffee beans, and other
assorted items. And of course, plenty of bread and pastries along with tortilla chips and lots of canned drinks.
We have also extended an invitation to the Gold Hill folks to come enjoy our bounty. The Gold Hill people had a food pantry for many years but do not have one currently
so we are hoping to lend a hand to anyone in that community that could use some extra food. Now that we will be picking up more food every week with CFS we feel
like we are more than able to share with our neighbors! So if you see someone new tonight give them a hearty Hello!

Thank you for all of the work and organizing that goes on behind the scenes to make this a positive and fruitful (pun intended) experience for so many residents.
You all ROCK!!!
