Jamestown Solar Tour - Carly - 09-05-2023
Hello Jamestown and Bar K neighbors! I'm hosting a Jamestown Solar Tour from 9:30-3pm on Saturday, October 7 as part of the National Solar Tour. If you have solar or sustainable features that you'd like to showcase on the tour, please signup by September 22. https://www.nationalsolartour.org/signup/
I counted about 12 houses in town with solar panels. I'm hoping to get at least 8 of us to be a part of the tour. Bar K homes are welcome to join as well! On the morning of October 7, I will set up a table at the town hall/town park for tour goers to pick up a map of the homes on the tour. Then people can create their own self-guided tour, show up at your house, and check out your solar and/or sustainable features.
It would be great if you can have an "open house" October 7 from 9:30-3pm with volunteers/family to help guide tour goers around your site.
Show them your Xcel bills and give tips on installers, equipment, financing, and sustainable living. Attached are more tips.
On the form, about halfway down, you will be able to select "Jamestown Solar Tour" as your local tour. If you prefer I can sign you up, just send me a photo of your solar/sustainable house by Sept 21. I am part of the American Solar Energy Society which has hosted the tour on the first weekend of October for 27 years.
