Fire in Bar-K today - Silvia - 11-28-2023
The house at 92 Tilghman (formerly owned by Patti Olsen) burned completely to the ground today. Lefthand Fire vehicles now leaving. The crew did a fantastic job of keeping the fire from spreading. No one I talked with seemed to know the cause of the fire.

I am so sorry to hear that someone lost their home. Hopefully, no one was hurt.

The emergency response was countywide - Jamestown, Allenspark, Lyons, Nederland, Lefthand, Boulder and a few others. The cistern on Wapiti was put to good use, and Nederland fire department refilled the 3500 gallon? tank before they left . Obviously, this is everyone's nightmare any kind of fire.

Julia - the new owners had just started moving in and a handful of us on Cody and Tilghman were there to support them yesterday. We’ve been talking about potentially starting a gofundme or a meal train but we’re going to give them some time to settle into everything before bringing it up. We’ll post here if we get something going.
