Fire cause - O'B's - 11-30-2023

Good morning neighbors-
Regarding the structure fire in the Bar-K, there have been some questions regarding the cause of the fire. In this particular case, there are a couple of possible causes under investigation. One is ruling out the possibility of an electrical fire. The other is oily rags left in a pile from refinishing the floors. If you're tackling home maintenance projects like staining or oiling wood, best practices is to take the rags outside and spread them out to dry. If you don't have space for that, the next best practice is to put the soiled rags into a metal can with a tight fitting lid and cover with water (to exclude oxygen) until you can dispose of them.
