Long hoselay training - O'B's - 10-13-2024

Good morning neighbors-yesterday Lefthand welcomed our AMA partners in a long hoselay (1/2 mile) training where we deployed 3 different pre-set hose packages to see how far we could go as quickly as possible, and to examine the difference between the different pump platforms (large engine mounted, portable and brush truck pumps). We know we can move hose up to 1 mile, as fast as we can go uphill, and our pumps especially the portables, will support the line. We were in the Blue Jay mine, and were joined by Boulder Mountain fire, Hygiene fire, Lyons fire and the County Sheriff's Wildland crew.

Our current indices are very high/extreme, please be extra careful with fire! All of the large wildland fires in the county have started on private property.
