Hole in my yard! - Nancy Farmer - 11-17-2024 Someone drilled a big hole in my yard last week - looks like an augur did it. It's about 2' in circumference and it has to be 6 - 8 feet deep. Then they put a piece of plywood with the words Open Hole spray painted in orange over it. WTF??? Anybody know who the hell would do that without even contacting me or asking permission to come onto my property, let alone dig a hole like that? My guess is that it has to do with the Sturgeon trucks that have been in town the past few days - for Xcel? If anybody knows about this and can tell me who to contact, please reply here or contact me offline. I am seriously pissed off! RE: Hole in my yard! - Lynn Wilber - 11-18-2024 Not to worry Nancy. It's just the New World Order flexing it's muscle, with a little help from the Borg and the Mole People. SvH RE: Hole in my yard! - messa - 11-18-2024 I have seen the xcel guys installing new poles all over town, I would guess its that. They also came onto my property without permission; my dogs had a field day RE: Hole in my yard! - John Hardman - 11-18-2024 I talked to those guys installing power poles. They are doing 60+ new poles in our area. Part of the wildfire prevention process. Hope it works! RE: Hole in my yard! - Hollis - 11-18-2024 Nancy, maybe this site will answer your questions. https://corporate.my.xcelenergy.com/s/transmission/right-of-way RE: Hole in my yard! - RandyO - 11-18-2024 Be glad you don't have their job - hand digging on an exposed windy hill ! Brrrr !!! RE: Hole in my yard! - Jamestown Merc - 11-18-2024 That’s just crazy Nancy! I’d feel freaked out too/ it seems like a conversation first would be very reasonable. RE: Hole in my yard! - Nancy Farmer - 11-19-2024 Randy, they used a giant augur. Hollis, thanks for the website. and John, I hope you're right, too! |
