FOOD PANTRY SEVERE WEATHER PROTOCOL - Cyndi Fitzgerald - 01-20-2025
[align=start]JACF FOOD PANTRY SEVERE WEATHER PROTOCOL
On January 20, 2025 (tonight), the expected temperatures are predicted to be dangerously cold. JACF will still hold the food pantry from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
For everyone's safety, we are implementing a board of directors approved severe weather protocol for tonight as follows:
1. Please do not walk to the Pantry on 01-20-2025 - the temperatures will be too cold for anyone to be waiting outside. Please be extra careful driving, as the road is very icy.
2. If you have a friend or neighbor who normally walks to the pantry, please offer them a ride or please reach out to a friend or neighbor to join them in their car if you normally walk to the pantry.
3. Please park your car as you normally would at the pantry. Stay inside your car as long as possible with the heat on.
4. A member of the Pantry Volunteer Staff (me) will be outside tonight directing people into the pantry. People will be invited in by car load. There will be no lottery process for access to the Pantry tonight.
5. We will be allowing 5-10 people into the pantry at a time.
6. If you are shopping for your family, please limit the number of people you are bringing with you to shop. Please also do not bring your dogs.
7. If you are unable to adhere to this severe weather safety protocol, please stay safely home.
