MOUNTAIN FOOD RESCUE - Lynnie - 04-18-2022
MOUNTAIN FOOD RESCUE TONIGHT!
MONDAY APRIL 18TH from 5:00 - 6:30pm. In the Food Barn next to the Tennis Courts in the Big Park!
We had a smaller than usual pickup today so not as much volume as in the past weeks. However, we do have
lots of those really yummy grapes, a ton of great looking potatoes, some more of those rather strange looking carrots,
some awesome tomatoes and enough bread. We do have some eggs, and milk, some prepared foods, hamburger and packaged
veggies plus your normal canned goods and some specialty items including some cool soaps.
Since today is smaller pickup, it might be a good time to remind people that the pantry has not become just a convenience
for folks but rather a necessity! Please be mindful that many people cannot get to the pantry until 5:30 or later because of work
or school etc. It is disappointing to arrive at 5:15 or later and all the prime food stuffs are all gone! If you are one of the lucky ones
who can arrive just as we open, please be aware that there are many more behind you and only take an appropriate amount. If we can,
we will post notices on stock that we have only a limited amount. We may ask that you only take one, not a two or three.
