Good Reads - Lynn Wilber - 05-11-2022 I liked this little article, finding it germain to our present world: https://www.counterpunch.org/2022/05/11/the-sane-society/ RE: Good Reads - RobertH - 05-11-2022 Jack London The Sea Wolf is worthwhile. Serious man v man in nature stuff. Better than the one about dogs ;-) RE: Good Reads - Lynn Wilber - 05-11-2022 "THE SEA WOLF" is one of my favorites. Aside from the fact it is a rip snorting tale, it is an interesting dialectic concerning London's interpretation of Social Darwinism, and what I consider a somewhat misinterpreted reading of Nietzche, and a more utopian or Romantic worldview. Nevertheless it's a pretty dang good read. It's pretty easy to see upon examination of London's biographical provenence why he would present the story the way he does. SvH |
