In Subaru with new all season tires this morning at 0645h: packed slush /ice. VERY slick to Jimtown. Road was wet but ok at Lefthand, still snowing hard. Rain/sleet on 36/Nelson.

I will second Jay's post.  Even with the plow coming through, there is no sand down, and I havevn't seen the switchbacks this slippery in a long time.  I was slipping and sliding all the way to Jamestown with my Subby and good tires, and saw tracks of at least 3 cars that bounced off the guard rails.
