THANK YOU to all the seen and unseen volunteers (Holt-Watkins family; Kohlhaas family; Arne, Rainbow; Russel; Lynnie; nancy F; Kael, Rutledge Family and all of you helping at your convenience)!
The parks are in pretty good shape, of course more can be done
*note- please only put weed waste in compost bin as this gets fed to chickens
Still needed:
Big Park-
-Trim all dead branches (hillside, tennis courts, creek)
-Weed whack hillside behind bandshell/ playground/ tennis court/food barn
-Weeding walkway/path
***Bigger project- please contact me if you’d like to help- Anvil table (8yrs old!) needs some repair- boards are loose and becoming detached- clear coat on benches are old and lifting off wood, this needs to be sanded, hopefully repainted by school kids, and then resealed****
Little Park & beyond
- creek side from little park to PO: trim dead branches - need clippers
-Andersen hill nature tiers: trim dead branches; weed around trees, weed whack grasses etc. (please no children- and be extremely safe on hillside)
Both parks need constant care & pick up of dog poop
THANK YOU all!
These parks belong to all of us (and open to visitors and it takes a village to keep them in good condition! So please be mindful to pack in and pack out; care for community equipment; kids sand toys should always be returned to provided bin; if things are broken please dispose of and contact either Jen A or myself for replacement and any other ideas you may have to make our parks even better!
Truly am impressed and feel blessed with this community!
Please continue helping at your convenience and/or attend next Sun (6/4) gathering at Elysian 10-12. *Merc will be hosting breakfast in the little park please be aware of others, but trimming and clipping on creek side shouldn’t disturb anyone.
You all are the best! Much Love
