4th of July Parade: MARCHING BAND, DOG PARADE, Floats and More!

Hello Good People of the Greater Jamestown Area!!

The 4th of July is only ~10 short weeks away. Too soon to plan, you ask? Balderdash! This year we are planning to up the ante with an even more fun, more participatory, more Jamestown PARADE!!

Will there still be a KAZOO Band? YES!!!

Will there still be a Firetruck for the kids to ride on? YES!!

This year, there will be TWO NEW FEATURES, as well: a MARCHING BAND and a DOG PARADE!!

• Marching Band: Is your band instrument from high school collecting dust? Maybe you're IN high school and are already in performance ready shape? We have about 20 people who have expressed interest so far...so polish up that brass, drum, clarinet, or piccolo and come join us, no matter what your current level is. All are welcome. Music will be provided. Practice will be starting soon in the town hall!  Write erika@glib.net for info and to get yourself on the mailing list! Be watching the BB for more.
  
• Dog Parade: In Jamestown, we LOVE our dogs. Maybe dress em up with some flair...attach their name visibly somewhere on their body...decorate their leash...as long as they can play nice with their fellow canines, they are welcome to walk in the parade! 
  

Do you have a trailer? A back of a truck?  A bike or a wheelbarrow? NEW FLOATS are highly encouraged, as well. 

And I know there are some STILT WALKERS and JUGGLERS out there...

So here's the question for you: How are YOU getting down to the big park on the 4th? Do it with some style and come join us!!
