Hey there.  Burt Payne recently gave me a killer biography of Texas polymathic artist Terry Allen called "TRUCKLOAD OF ART" by Brendan Greaves.  Man, it's so full of resonances and reverbs for anybody who came up in the Southwest right after the big one that I'm still jangling. If you love honkeytonking, Waylon and Willie. The Llano Estacado, cliff dwellings, peyote, wild art, sagebrush and pinon, bbq, chili, and ass-kicking toon mongering, I believe you'd dig this one.  Turns out the author also was instrumental in the founding of Paradise of Bachelors, The record company that puts out Jake Xerxes Fussel's wonderful stuff.
