horses on pasture
#1
Good morning BarK people.  The horses are going on pasture starting today.  For those who are new to having chosen to live in a horse community please keep some simple points in mind: Please close all gates that you walk through when the horses are in that particular pasture.  Please do not handle or feed the horses.  Please keep dogs under voice control; the horses will not be interested in a dog unless the dog persistantly goes up to them.  The Colorado law regarding horses is posted on all pasture gates.
We are experimenting moving them as a herd based on feedback we received about them being too spread out, this way the horses will all be in only one pasture at a time, although we will now have to move them more often so just keep an eye out before entering a pasture, it's a decent size herd so they won't be hard to spot.  We will be starting on Lower South pasture and then the first move after that will be Dry Lake pasture.
Thanks and have a wonderful day.  Carolyn
