NEW YEARS DAY FOOD PANTRY! MONDAY JANUARY 1, 2024. 5:30 - 6:30PM
Great pantry tonight! Lots of beautiful produce, potatoes, oranges, cucumbers, kale, apples, bananas, avocados, bell peppers, chilies, yams, grapes.
We have plenty of milk and organic apple cider (beware, this is the same apple cider we received last year and it can start to ferment as it ages. We had a few containers explode last year! What a mess, so drink up or store in an easy to clean place!) We have quite a bit of frozen meat, chicken, seafood, and fish. Also, quite a bit of shrimp cocktail, some prepared foods, cheese and goat cheese. We have lots of snacks, chips, cereal, drinks. Plenty of pastries, cookies, pies, muffins, and bread. Canned goods and pasta too!
Take a look around the pantry, it just keeps getting better and better! Thanks to Greg for the install of the new cabinets and rearranging the metal shelf to be used as a table for the heavy amounts of produce. We also had a donation of some newer tables (did you notice how much some of the old ones were sagging?) Thanks again to some of our most regular volunteers who helped do some cleaning of the fridges and moving canned goods so Greg could paint the canned goods shelf.
