[font]MOUNTAIN FOOD RESCUE TONIGHT Monday April 8 - [font]5:30 to 6:30PM[/font][/font]
Yes! The Food Pantry is still happening this evening between 5:30 and 6:30pm! But be aware that, like everywhere else, the pantry building is still without power at the time of this posting.
So... PLEASE bring a headlamp or flashlight – the inside of the building will be dim.
Community Food Share was closed today, but we got a big load from Costco Saturday and loads from Whole Foods and Ideal Market this morning. Here’s the pantry has to offer today:
LOTS of fresh basil and other herbs
Boxes of Chicken Broth
Plenty of fresh produce: peppers, tomatoes, bananas, apples, pears, oranges, etc.
Lots of pastries and baked goods
Bread – some yummy Whole Foods bread and a lot of buns, some bagels
Big bags of rice
Bags of snacks
And a lot of frozen meat, mainly whole chickens and marinated chicken breasts
Unfortunately, no eggs or milk this time.
So please come down and HELP RESCUE FOOD tonight! This outage won’t last forever and you still gotta eat, right?
We might not have electricity, but the good news is that we no longer have the a muddy mosh pit for a parking lot, either.
