Very informative article with quotes from Brian Oliver, Boulder Fire Rescue's wildland chief. Includes information on fire’s relationship to the ecosystem, humans’ relationship to fire, fire mitigation, and our new normal. In my opinion it’s a good article to read as Jamestown is (considering or beginning?) fire mitigation work with Lefthand Watershed Center. Give it a read.
