Small Ceremonial fire Sunday

Hello neighbors!

Given the fact that fire restrictions have been rescinded, we wanted to share a heads up —if you smell smoke tomorrow and are wondering where it’s coming from—we are on Gillespie spur and planning on having a small ceremonial fire Tomorrow during the day which will be continuously attended and is in a metal fire pit Clear of any trees.

Are you sure fire restrictions have been lifted?  Still a big sign at the bottom of LH.

it looks like fire restrictions were rescinded in EASTERN Boulder County, and we, here in WESTERN unincorporated Boulder County, are under Stage 1 fire restrictions.  The above link includes:

"Stage 1 fire restrictions ALLOW:

• Building, maintaining, attending, or using a fire in constructed, permanent fire pits or fire grates within developed recreation sites (listed below), and on private lands along with the use of portable stoves, lanterns using gas, jellied petroleum, pressurized liquid fuel or a fully enclosed (sheepherder type) stove with a ¼” spark arrester type screen is permitted."

Thank you Rose. Our friend doing the ceremony has a small fire in a raised metal fire pit that she is attending in an open area. If this doesn't seem within those bounds of level 1 we welcome clarification and will of course ask her to stop the fire.
