Heads up everyone -- a hungry bear is on the prowl. Pulled over our grill (that we rarely use!) in the wee hours. Made quite the racket.

Thanks for the heads-UP!  Where are you?  JT/Bar-K?  There was a good sized BEAR in JT a couple weeks ago.
Poor guy, nothing to eat in our forest.  Hope he makes it through the winter.

I found fresh BEAR tracks up above Blue Jay AND upper Spruce down to Sylvia Burch's house and under my deck on to Mesa St.
Now I know why Lila was so uptight last night.  

Hope this guy figures it out.  Looks to be a medium sized adult, based on the prints I saw.  
Thinking this might be the Black Adult BEAR that was so fond of the stuff in the Merc Dumpster.
BEARS who get hooked on people food mess up their Hibernation Schedule.

Last house east in JT on the river, below the tennis court. You used to walk Lilah down this direction and then up slaughterhouse. I found his/her tracks this morning and looks like small medium bear. Wonder if it’s that squatty body model that kept coming by this past summer. We’ve got all the electric fence turned on now so wouldn’t mind of s/he tried to raid again! That’ll be a big surprise to the bear! Can’t imagine what there could possibly be left to eat this time of year…….it needs to go take a long nap. ?

Took this at lower park today (1/1/25) on the snowy south path near the restrooms. Probably the same small bear. Poor thing - still hungry!

looks like exactly the same. similar photo, similar size feet of bear. I took this on dec 30.
I fear this bear is going to starve........
