I'm needing to move away from century link and am checking out viasat as an option.  Does anyone use it? are you satisfied? cost?  I may have easier access to the southern sky than the northern sky anyone else dealing with that?  (Canyon living)  threeo3-444-65l9

We had ViaSat for many years before we moved to a house with Starlink already present. ViaSat was kind of a mixed bag. Reliability was great--we had virtually no service interruptions (which I take it is not the case with CenturyLink), and we could plug it into a generator and have internet when the power was out. But it wasn't fast enough and/or data transfer limits prevented us from being able to stream TV and movies, use VPNs without interruption for work, or get rid of our landline. So it kind of depends on your internet needs--ViaSat is fine for email and web surfing, but it's questionable for anything much beyond that. Hope this helps.

We've been happy with Nedernet if they can reach you with their signal.  We stream TV too with no problems.

Hi Betty. We live up the road from you near the 10 mile mark. We have been using Viasat for the last several years. We recently called them and complained that the price was too high and the lowered it to 100.00 per month with unlimited bandwidth. I think that's about 20.00$ less than Star Link.
It's not as fast as Star Link but it's better than giving Muskrat my money to help with the destruction of our country! Hope this helps.
