Hello!
Colorado Parks & Wildlife is offering grant money for community projects that reduce human-bear conflicts. Bears accessing trash is the leading cause of conflict, therefore Boulder County Parks & Open Space has offered to steward the grant application so that individuals can receive bear-resistant trash cans at a ridiculously reduced price. We are assembling the grant application this week and trying to assess interest and need of local mountain communities.
Want to help bears stay out of trouble? Please fill out this super-fast survey, and help support this effort to live better with wildlife.
The survey closes Friday 4/22 at 5pm.
