Hey Jimbillies ~

Lila rustled up what was left of a deer (lower leg; bone, hide, & hoof) right by Blue Jay road, above the mill, where the trees start to line the road. 

Channel 9 NEWS (online) has a nice piece on Bear Awareness recommendations.  Oh course ALL JIMBILLIES know this "schtuff" already!
It is still a good reminder.  There was a Bear sighting up @ BarK yesterday.  It has been a while since I have learned of a bear sighting (3 weeks) in JT.

The piece on Chan 9 suggested, via CPW, that BEAR ENCOUNTERS may increase this summer as a result of the dry spring and late freeze affecting
OUR BEARS menu.

That leg has actually been around a while.  Max became focused on those bushes a month or so ago and I finally spotted that it was back in where he couldn't reach it.  I hung it on a higher branch away from his attention.  I now see the leg has separated at the joint and was back on the ground.  Possibly a scavenger at work.  I put the pieces back up in the tree but probably need to cart it out.  More difficult to do with a puppy watching my every move.
