Wednesday morning ride
#1

Good afternoon everyone-
For those who worked through summer, you're already experienced with these, for the returning school populations, please remember that on Wednesday mornings there are training rides that are in the NE potion of Boulder county. There are 6 routes weekly, 3 on the road and 3 on gravel. 1 of the road rides typically comes up as high as JT and then turns around. 3 of the rides this week will be in Lefthand Canyon, 1 will go over Olde Stage to finish up around 08:00. One will come to JT and then drop to Lefthand and up to LH St 4 at Glendale before going over Lee Hill, and 1 will come up Lefthand and then over Lee Hill. The rides start at 06:30, the ride coming up to JT/Glendale will be direct so they'll be uphill about 07:00 and heading down about 07:40. The other rides will be in the canyon closer to 08:00, especially the Olde Stage route.

Please plan accordingly. These folks are recreational racers so they tend to be faster. Remember that from Elliot's pitch to Lefthand cyclists may use the full lane due to the lack of shoulder on the descent. Sometimes they have a medical motorcycle following them. And at least 2 of this summers rides were sponsored by the Boulder County Sheriff's office.

Looks like the Tempo group will be up the canyon the JT this week, and the other two are staying low but will go over Olde Stage/Lee Hill.  From the WMV email:

Road Threshold: Sidney will lead Threshold on a repeat of a route done earlier this year. Keeping it neutral till Neva, and then a full regroup before hitting 36 to Lefthand and over Lee Hill. (This week's route)

Road Tempo: Eric Long will take Tempo out on 36 to Lefthand and up to Jamestown for a quick regroup. Then they'll head up Lefthand to the Rowena fire station, do a full regroup, and return over the backside of Lee Hill. (This week's route)

Road Endurance: Susan will lead a clockwise loop of 36/St. Vrain/6th/Nelson and then return over Olde Stage (This week's route)
