Bear Aware
#1
Unless it was the girls at the elementary school who I heard singing "This Girl Is On Fire!",

a bear turned over the trash bin at the school.  Fortunately, it was locked.

My understanding is that if we get this CPW Human/Bear grant, we will get low/no-cost lockable cans!

Fingers crossed, trash stashed and doors locked.

Here's a little presentation I did for the grant:

This big fella was aware of the electric fence that kept him at bay.  Stills from videos taken Monday, the first evidence of bear in our yard this year.

Good looking Bear, Steven B in PV!  Great example of HOW EFFECTIVE HOT WIRES ARE!  (not screaming CAPS, just emphasis Wink

Time to chain the school dumpster to the wall again for BEAR SEASON.  I will be speaking to Isaac, the Western Disposal driver
later today when he rolls through.  A few years ago, a BEAR tipped the school dumpster on its side and was able to rip the doors open,
breaking 2 padlocks!  When I spoke to Western Disposal about the break-in, they told me they had never seen that before!

Never underestimate the ingenuity and power of a HUNGRY BEAR!

Do not feed the BEARS !  ANYTHING !  PLEASE !

Help us SAVE OUR BEARS JT, BaR-K, Ward, Cal-Wood, Balarat and everyone in between!

We ALL share the same BEARS !
