James Canyon accident 1:50pm

Per LHFPD, James Canyon is blocked, completely, by truck accident, above Ward turnoff.  Helicopter en route.  Reopening time is unknown.  Advice is to go around; i.e. - Peak to Peak.

When I drove by this morning shortly after the accident happened it was Lefthand Canyon that was blocked above the junction with James Canyon and James Canyon was clear. I have been told the buses coming down from Balarat had to be rerouted to go back down, though, so they may have closed off that access, as well, because first responders have come from multiple jurisdictions. Best if you can get to the Peak to Peak and come down above JT.

Canyon is passable.  Received call from JTer who just went through.

Was able to make it home - took old stage to left hand to James canyon. Saw that Lee Hill heading up to Ward was blocked off. So Lee Hill won’t get you up here. Happy travels!
