I'm reading a book now that I wanted to recommend to my friends interested in science and the history of the Atomic Age.  It's a literary La Brea Tar Pit by Benjamin Labatut called "MANIAC".  It's a kind of novelized docudramatic tour de force featuring Johnny von Neuman,  super computers, hysterical spouses, self-replicating biomechanical entities, the game of Go, horrific maladies, occasional laffs, and a mesmerizing style.  The pages turn themselves. Dang, it's a hot one. Enjoy, if you dare. SvH
