Good YA Nature Fantasy by local Laurel Wanrow

Laurel spends summers over on Ward St.
I picked up her Windborne series from Amazon and was 
apprehensive that it might suck big time - oops, I mean
it might not be for me. 
The story grabbed me, as did the main character
who goes to a fictional institution called Boulder High.
OR IS IT !?!?!?!

Anyhow, Laurel's protagonist lives in a magical world - but
she doesn't have magic.  An unusual plot conflict for sure.

Boulder Library doesn't have a copy and that mystifies me,
although it's in Hoopla.    Amazon has it, if you are willing to
stoop that low.
