Winter burning is OK if certain conditions are met:
Regardless if you're burning piles or a campfire/chiminea, you should contact county dispatch at 303-441-4444 and let them know so when your neighbor or a passer-by calls 911, the dispatchers know it's supposed to be there
If you're burning piles, you need to obtain a burn permit from the County Sheriff's website
If you're burning piles you need to be within the specifications for size of pile and snow cover (Smaller than 6x6x6/minimum 4" of snow)
If your burning anything outside, please take a look at forecasted winds for 3-4 days following your burn.
