I am so grateful for what we have to offer our Community! Looking around the pantry this afternoon, seeing all the amazing food, working and laughing with all the volunteers, enjoying the building we get to use, it's really an incredible experience! So plan to come on down this evening and join in the experience!
Also, we've been hearing a new Spring snow it expected later this week so plan on hunkering down for a few days with some great food!
We have an incredible amount of prepared food tonight! Plenty of salads, dinner entrees, burritos, tuna fish, some shrimp, lots of cubed squash and brussel sprouts, guacamole, mushrooms, cut up fruit, sandwiches, tamales, romaine lettuce, spinach, green beans, cheese, rotisserie chickens, grilled chicken strips etc. We also have lots of frozen meat, hamburger, pork, chicken, whole chickens, roasts, sausage, more cuts of beef, I mean a lot of meat! We still have some plant based roasts as well. We have beautiful produce, oranges, apples, pears, potatoes, onions, artichokes, tomatoes, HEIRLOOM tomatoes, chili peppers, bell peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, some strange stick like things that no one knows what they are?, cauliflower and other odds and ends. Not a huge amount of bread but we have buns, rolls, muffins, bagels, cookies, pies, cakes and desserts. Pantry staples like seasoning packets, mayo, etc. Coffee, tea, and a huge assortment of drinks, MILK, crackers, snacks, candy, cereal, canned goods, and MORE!
We are wondering when we should move to our Spring/Summer hours now that Daylight Savings time is happening? Let the volunteers tonight know what you think. The hours would change to 6:00 -7:00pm, a half hour later.
And as usual your donations are much appreciated and needed, thanks for leaving something in the donation box!
