Come by 6 to hear him speak officially for a few minutes. Then stick around and talk.
Always a good idea to know your local politicians!
Max Woodfin is a former public school teacher, veteran, and mental health counselor who lives near Gold Hill and is a Democrat running to represent Colorado's House District 49 in the upcoming primary. He is focused on generating more civil dialogue, creating better access to mental health care, protecting women's reproductive rights, and helping mountain communities become more resilient in the face of climate change.
HD 49 seat is also being sought by Leslie Smith who has excellent background as scientist, School Board CU Regent. Very pro-education, reproductive rights, former CIRES cloud scientist, excellent communicator-negotiator, from north Boulder. It’s sad when good democrats unnecessarily divide the party. Leslie announced last fall. Oh well.
Yes Leslie Smith is also a great candidate AND I feel strongly that Max can likely unite more of the rural areas of District 49 (which is HUGE) who may not feel well represented by a CU Regent.

Thanks for posting and hosting! We've known Max for 20 years. He has our complete support and hope he can succeed in getting on the ballot! Come hear what he has to say if you can!
