Colorado Navajo Resiliency Project

George will be heading down to the Navajo Nation again next week.
Latest updates from my friend Kirsten:

#1 - Hi everyone!
We had great success on our Thanksgiving run to the Navajo Nation taking down a couple loads of water totes destined for spring gardens!

We are planning another trip around the Solstice!
This time we will be bringing a load of produce from the North Fork Valley, a load of donated blue water barrels (from Montanya’s in Crested Butte ) and are raising money for another load of water totes, and to buy firewood for households!

Our goal is to raise $7,000
Dream big!

A $135 donation will pay for one water tote, the fittings, and gas money to get it out to someone who needs it.
A $200 donation will pay for a cord of wood delivered to help keep a family warm.

It’s the season for giving and your donation , big or small will go a long way to support the communities on the Navajo Nation!

PLEASE share this post with your friends and networks! If we can spread the word we can definitely reach our goals!

I will have more news soon about a potential tour with our friends from Dińe lands…. with stops in some of the Colorado communities that have been so amazing!

Thanks again for your continued support!

#2 - From the Colorado Navajo Resiliency Project

Pictured in the middle is George, from Jamestown CO, along with our friends Jake and Kern on Dińe (Navajo) lands.
George is a pilot, artist, father and has been an awesome, behind the scenes kind of guy on many supply runs south. He’s procured food, water tanks and even donated his old Toyota to help with transporting supplies to the folks who need them! ??

The community of Jamestown has been so generous and supportive of the short and long term goals of the Colorado Navajo Resiliency Project since the beginning of the pandemic. We are so grateful!

George has another load of supplies to bring down on this next run, including 8 more water totes and a 1200 gallon cistern!
The money we raise helps get these vital supplies to where they are needed.

Water is life!
We have a goal of $7,000 for this run to purchase more water totes and their fittings, cover transportation costs, and money to buy firewood to keep families warm this winter.

Please help if you are able. Here’s the link to donate!
