Bee swarm
#1
Yesterday, midday, while walking up Andersen Hill, Tim, Vic and I observed a bee swarm. We saw a 20”, very dense, bee swarm on a tree along the cliff about 25 yds up from the bridge. Bees had started to bother us when we walked by which caused us to notice it. We walked past. When we turned to look again, we saw hundreds of bees now out over the creek! The swarm was on the move! The tree it had been in was suddenly empty of bees. We watched as the hive seemed to be searching for a new place, ultimately going up into the large cottonwood between the Town Square and the red residence next to the Town Square. It was a sight to behold. I don’t know bees well enough to identify them as honey bees or other. Thought you’d be interested.
