Something to cut/shave plexi?

I have a piece of plexi I got at the hardware store this morning and it is about 1/4 inch too thick.  I don't want it to crack, so I'm nto sure if there is a saw out there that could shave that little off but if you have that tool or table saw or something I would love to borrow it.  If not, anyone have some sort of sanding device that would take down 1/4'' quickly?
