Hey there. This week I'll be projecting a contemporary Western called "WHEN THE LEGENDS DIE", made back in the early 70's. I have a little bit of personal interest in this one. It was made in the Durango area when I was living there, and one day my wife and I were picking up a few groceries at a local market and I glance over at the next check-out stand and there's Richard Widmark buying a bag of oranges. I had never before seen a real movie star up close and my wonted volubility froze up like late apples in November. All I could whisper was, "Hey, that's Richard Widmark!" So much for my brush with associative fame and fortune. SvH. (I always enjoy some company)
