The attached photo from LA’s Palisades Fire, published in today’s Washington Post, is a good—if terrifying—illustration of an ember storm. During recent wildfire mitigation efforts for our cabin on Ward St., we were encouraged by Wildfire Partners to think in terms of these and make our structures more aerodynamic, as it were, avoiding traps and eddies where enough embers could accumulate and start a fire.
