Status - Fire Restrictions / Red Flag warnings???
#1
Hi,
Someone is burning outside in their yard (maybe in a low barrel, not sure) on the Overland Dr circle. Aren't restrictions still in place or no? It seems pretty dry & windy still up here.
Thank you if anyone knows...

There are red flags up today so no burning outside.

Any idea if this was handled/extinguished?  That's our neighborhood and it's so upsetting that folks have such a disregard for community safety.

Unknown. If someone is burning during no burn periods you should try to locate and have a discussion with the party engaged in burning. And, you can call Boulder County Dispatch either at 303-441-4444 or 911 if there is an emergent need.

What's the most reliable website to find up-to-date fire restrictions?

You can receive alerts through twitter by following the Boulder County Sheriff, or the Boulder County Sheriff's website.

Thank you. We don't think this a person willing to have discussions. Typically it's trash burning. Thanks for all your input here. If we see it again we'll call & alert the number you gave. And yes, Nate & Whitney, it is really disconcerting and uncaring for the rest of us who have nearly lost our homes to fires up here.

If someone is burning, they are supposed to call the sheriff (441-4444) to report when they start it, and when it has been extinguished. If the person does not seem open to being approached or you don't feel safe approaching him, just call that number to report it. Better safe than sorry. It is way too dry to burn.

Hi Everyone,

I believe someone was cleaning the creek in the last day or two. Emma Hardy Manns[attachment=398][attachment=399] said that she thought she saw our tan chair cushion and Fire Pit cover across the creek from her house. We would love to get them back. Please give me a call 303- 642- five-one-six-zero.
