Marilyn Fagerstrom, a longtime Bar-K resident, here before many of us, passed peacefully last night.
She was an extraordinary woman we came to love and admire deeply, and will remain in our hearts forever.
RIP dear friend
❤️
Condolences to Christy, Eric, Linda and the whole family from us all.
Love you Marilyn.

Marilyn was my mentor and confidant for 30 years. We had many adventures traveling to fires together across the west. If it were not for Marilyn, I would have never read books or become familiar with the Nederland Seniors group as well as the writers group. She inspired many people with her many talents and will be missed. [attachment=1498]

Thanks to Sal for such a lovely post honoring Marilyn. We hope to hold a celebration of life for her sometime this summer and to invite all of you locals who knew her.

Sending love and respect to Marilyn and family!! My family continues to admire Marilyn as a symbol of strength, community stewardship, and longevity. I met Marilyn when I had some car trouble back in 2002 - and she was the first to stop to help. (Of course she was!) Over the years since then, Scott and I remember long, interesting conversations with her - the kind from which you walk away feeling inspired and with a little more insight than you started. My mother, Sylvia, who was privileged to be in a bookclub with her for awhile, sends her condolences, as well. What an amazing woman! She will be remembered in these mountains for a very long time.
