BEARS IN THE HOOD ! JT !

Hey JimBillies ~

We are coming into BEAR SEASON!  Last night ON MESA STREET one of our BEARS, most likely a Knucklehead/Juvenile, got into a vehicle (doors were locked, windows were down...oopps). AND was able to open a Bear Can that was not latched properly next door.   

NOTE:  Check your Bear Cans to make sure they are latched/locked!    It is easy to overlook this action.  When I am on my daily hikes, I continually check the Bear Cans 
that are by the road, just to make sure they are latched/locked.  

OUR BEARS are in Hyperphagia!  They are eating anything and everything they can find to prepare for Hibernation!
The fruit trees are producing and OUR BEARS will be harvesting this bounty.  NOW is the most important time for everyone
to be diligent and responsible!

Trash ~ Cleaned Up and Stashed Properly
Cars, Homes, Garages ~ LOCKED!  No Exceptions !
Glean your fruit trees and berry bushes. (the bears will trash your trees)
REPORT ALL SIGHTINGS!  Here on the BB or contact me direct. (I am in the JT Directory)

Some of the Bear proof cans don't work. The latch never worked on mine.
I'd like to return it ,and get my $30 back.
If anyone has a contact phone number for someone involved in the sales of those cans, please respond.

Michelle has a replacement Bear Can/Lock for you and she emailed you as well.  
Hope that works for you!

NOTE:  Everybody with a Bear Can needs to make sure it is latched properly. 
Alway check it or we are just going to create more problems with our trash. 
WE DO NOT recommend putting smelly trash in your Bear Cans and leaving
it by the road ALL WEEK.  That will most likely attract more bears especially in the
heat we get this time of year.
