This week I'll reel out what I believe is David Lynch's only straight story, "THE STRAIGHT STORY". It's kind of a gerontological road movie, with skewed resonances to "THE GRAPES OF WRATH", "VANISHING POINT", and "THE ROAD WARRIOR", but sans carnage. It's just a heart-warming story about an intrepid old guy and his garden tractor on a five hundred mile odyssy. Definitely a feel good flick. I always enjoy some company. SvH
