The canyon is pretty icy in spots this morning, especially in those shady bends.

Where and when relatively safe and applicable, you can put your right side wheels just off the edge of the paved road surface, where the dirt is, (snow depth depending), and maintain traction and more importantly, directional control.

Any word on conditions tonight? No sun today to melt anything off, so I'm wondering if it's as slick and nasty as it was reported to be this morning.

I came up from Boulder around 4:15 today, and conditions were tolerable. Much improved from this morning, but still ice in places.
