Steve was as good a fellow and friend as anyone could fashion up.
He was my banjo friend first from far away and my ambassador to Jamestown so that I didn't frighten too many 
of the locals.  He was generous and kind and had a knack for wit that was so subtle and incisive that knowing him was essential to the joke.   Oh, Yeh, he saved my life a few times too.
Steve, I'll miss you buddy.
