Good morning everyone-
there are no planned outages for Exel, or anyone else at this time, although that may change. If we lose power, phone service will likely follow. In the Bar-K cell phones work from the overlook on Rock Lake Rd, and in JT you might be able get VOIP at the fire station, since the generator should auto-start. Lefthand is looking into having emergency phones installed at St 2 and 4 (Glendale Gulch). These phones are radio telephones that call directly to the County dispatch center. If you know of neighbors with generators, if they have satellite internet, they could get a call out as well. The Fire Chiefs are working with Century Link/Lumen to have power generation beyond battery back-up at the switches so people will still have 911 access. So if you lose your phone service, please let us know at Lefthand and we'll catalogue it for our meeting. The caveat is that it needs to be storm related, none of us can help with the regular outages, except the PUC. O'B
