FOOD PANTRY TONIGHT! MONDAY AUGUST 19TH FROM 5:30 - 6:30PM
COME ON DOWN!

Not as big a pantry as you've seen in the past couple of weeks but still some really great food and plenty of it! Once a month CFS (Community Food Share) is closed for a staff meeting therefore the smaller pantry!
We have lots of strawberries, lemons, pineapples, blackberries, bell peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, corn, greens, beans, mushrooms, carrots, squash and more.  Some meat, some frozen scallops, some chicken. We have prepared foods, dips, salsa, veggie trays, packaged vegetables, burritos, salads, shrimp, rotisserie chickens, sushi, sandwiches, olives, cheese (have you noticed the cost of some of those cheeses?) No milk this week we get that from CFS. But we do have cereal, snacks, chips, granola bars, canned goods and drinks. We have breads, muffins, bagel, cakes, and pastries too. And we have a variety of pet foods

Did you know that Greg and Rae, who do the CFS pickup every week, bring back an average of 1,500 lbs of food every pickup?  CFS is the agency where we get our drinks, snacks, coffees and teas, pantry staples, and snacks from as well as our MILK! Along with all of our canned goods, some of the larger meats, and bulk produce. So when we don't have a pickup from them you notice it! The only way to become a member agency of CFS is to under a nonprofit like our Jamestown Area Community Foundation. So when you donate to the pantry it helps us stay current and eligible to shop at CFS!  Your DONATIONS matter! Please remember to drop off a donation every week or least whenever you can!  Last week we
served 189 people and received $103 dollars in donations. That's an average of .55 cents per person!  Can we do better than that?
