Don’t dis my crew
#1
To the crew
Old young, men and women
Who sit in the shade
Watching and talking
Watching and laughing
Watching and silent
Watching the show that is our town
Smoking and drinking and talking some more
An occasional kerfuffle blows through like the clouds here at 7,000 feet
Moving to action (sigh, somebody’s got to help) when watching isn’t enough
This organically formed crew watches
Watches the community
Watches out for us
Pay no never-mind to the whiners and losers
I salute you as guardians and knights of this town
Warmly,
Saint Kate of the Canyon
Where the wild thing go
An accidental saint of minor miracles

I concur. Maybe join 'em for a few minutes sometime - there are some interesting conversations that happen under that shade tree.

I concur also.  Love knowing our wisdom tree sitters are looking out for us all!

I Sit and Watch as Tears Cars go by (Sorry Mick)

It is the middle of the day
Some think our road’s an expressway
I holler please slow down
There’s kids all around
I sit and watch as cars go by

I take a toke of MaryJane
It eases all my inner pain
Dogs are barking all around
I don’t mind the sound
I sit and watch as cars go by

The bikes are clogging up the street
A car blasts out an angry tweet
Some people are not kind
I pay them no mind
I sit and watch as cars go by

It is the evening of the day
I break my guitar out and play
A few dance in the park
Until after dark
I sit and watch as cars go by

The end of just another day
I take my things and slip away
In Jamestown ‘till I die
I don’t know why
I sit and watch the cars go by…..
