Lefthand Fire - Fall Recruitment

Hey all! Lefthand Fire is running our fall recruitment for a class of probationary firefighters to begin January 2025. The deadline for submitting the application is Monday, September 30, 2024, before 5:00 pm. We run 200-250 calls a year, covering a big box running roughly from Longhorn / Olde Stage up to just shy of the Peak to Peak, excluding the municipal boundary of Jamestown, which we respond mutual aid with. Our members are mostly volunteer, with a small paid staff to support the organization. So when you are on shift or responding from home, you'll have somebody full time responding with you. Training consists of completing three out of four disciplines; EMT/EMR (pre-hospital medicine), Structure Fire Academy, Wildland Fire, and/or Driver Operator, we provide / pay for training, supply gear, you put in the time and get a new skill set and community of people to be a part of!
