How about a little Sci-fi action to get the Halloween cauldron bubbling? This week I'll be showing the English thriller, "QUATERMASS AND THE PIT" (aka "FIVE MILLION MILES TO EARTH". This well made tale posits an explanation for human kind's propensity for violence and winds up with a smashing conclusion, all very spooky and very British. I think Hammer made this one, same outfit that made a bunch of the flicks with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. I always enjoy some company. SvH
