R.I.P. Donna Rabbitt
#1
Donna Rabbitt peacefully transitioned out of this lifetime Wednesday, October 23 from her home in Denver. I swear she hitched a ride on the tail end of Comet Tsuchinshan-Atlas. (Tom please correct any of this that I get wrong.) She was multi-generational Jamestowner. Her family owned (owns?) the mining cabin up Castle Gulch that Tom lives in. Her family would summer in that cabin when she was a kid. She knew Lefthand and James Canyon when they were entirely dirt. Donna was a Mercantile owner in the 1980's. She made my wedding cake, Tom sculpted the decoration for the top, her daughter, Missy (Melisa) was my flower girl. Donna loved to travel and took Missy out of Jamestown School one year to travel Africa. Donna's son, Scott, hosted her 80th birthday party this summer where we got to tell stories and see memoribilia and photos. She was Denver's own GoGo Girl! I have many good memories of hanging out with this wonder of a woman. Fair winds my, friend. May you travel well. R.I.P.

Thank you for posting this. I knew Donna, and loved the brief time I got to spend with her. She was one of a kind and such an immense light! I had no idea she was a Jamestowner as I knew her from Denver. Really appreciate the share St. Kate and happy for Donna’s next cosmic journey~
