If Xcel is going to hook up poles every day and necessarily cutting power as they do so, it would be to everyones benefit if they would have a set time we could count on with No power.
I am happy to do without power for some hours every day if it means that when Xcel is done installing poles, we continue to receive power when it gets windy out !

Hello Xcel !!! Whaddya Say ???

So what's been happening in Gold Hill is that as they replace the poles they notify us one to two days in advance with a note on our door. 3 or 4 poles were done last week that affected my place for a few hours -- they do sections at a time. The last unexpected outage affected everyone including the subdivision and someone reported to us neighbors that it was an unexpected (accidental) issue that Xcel took care of. Phone service was also out. That was the first day noted on this board. The second outage, yesterday, was again unexpected and affected all of Gold Hill and the subdivision. Apparently it affected a lot of folks in the JT/BarK area as well. I have not heard of any reasoning why. I don't know if it was unexpected. Too widespread to make me think it was simple power pole replacement. I haven't seen the crews around here in a few days.

Here is the contact we have in Gold Hill:

RAY with Sturgeon Electric:
(720) 812-7966.

I don't know if he's also overseeing the Bar-K/JT pole replacements but if not, he probably know who the contact is.
