Air Purifiers

Looking to purchase an Air Purifier. We have our wood stove going afternoon into evening with forced air propane the rest of the time. Large living room with vaulted ceiling, kitchen and dining down a short hallway with smaller loft. Any recommendations on brand and size and whether it’s necessary to purchase multiple units?

Jim, we've used a Hathaspace HSP001 for 3-4 years.  There is a larger model, but for two separated rooms you might want two of the smaller units.  It's quiet and has been reliable.  The filters are quality but expensive.  Amazon replacements are half the price and half as good so they get replaced in half the time.  The OEM filters are probably a better choice because of the thicker bed of charcoal.

With forced air, it could be that a single larger unit would be fine.

For what it’s worth, I have a couple of Blue Air that I got on Amazon during sales a few years ago. I’m really happy with them. The smaller sizes are easier to fit anywhere, but I prefer using the larger size on a lower fan speed. If I’m dealing with strong odors, like wildfire smoke or animals, I put an extra cheap piece of carbon filter on the outside, under the fabric outer cover. It allows the more expensive particulate filter to last longer. The outer covers are washable too. The app is simple and works well for me. My larger one is the medium sized Blue Pure 311i Max.
